Toong Coworking Space – Gold Coast
Bringing the coworking office model to Nha Trang for the first time, D1 and Toong Gold Coast cherish the hope of building a hub for innovative entrepreneurs who are changing the face of the coastal city day by day.
Toong Gold Coast is a melting pot where business- culture -art, development- technology -environment are combined and perfectly balanced, inside the vibrant working environment of contemporary Vietnam. Nha Trang’s tourism sector is in the booming period, which results in many investment opportunities and providing new products and services.
This coworking space is located on the 9th floor inside a 40-storey shopping mall and apartment complex. The building is right behind Nha Trang Center and 50 meters away from the beach.
The design of Toong Gold Coast is influenced by the distinct features of Nha Trang, the beach city’s nature and culture. Capturing the visitors' eyes from the first impression is an installation work with the theme “Fruit Of The Sea” by two world-renowned landscape artists Andy Cao and Xavier Perrot. The two artists have performed public art projects that resonated at Changi Airport (Singapore), White Center (Washington, USA), San Francisco Bay (USA) and Grand Prairie Central Park (Texas, USA). Kenzo fashion house (Paris, France), Luxembourg garden (Paris, France)...
The interior design is a fusion between contemporary materials and inspiration taken from ChamPa architecture. The most straightforward reference to ChamPa architecture are the long stretched corridors decorated by arches of different sizes and heights lined up on both sides, this creates an intriguing spatial experience for visitors, as they navigate through the corridors.
By integrating ChamPa designs into the work, D1 Architectural Studio wants to recall the working spirit of ancient architects who had meticulously stacked the Po Nagar Cham Tower, a famous landmark in Nha Trang, from tiny bricks that nestled tightly with each other, without using any seam. The impressive Po Champa Tower that stands the test of time shows us what humans can achieve through creativity and discipline.
